BigTent Launches Mobile Version of Forums

BigTent, the leading platform for trusted parenting groups, just launched the first version of its mobile site, available at m.bigtent.com. This development allows on-the-go BigTent members to browse group forum discussions in a threaded format without having to rely on email. The mobile site is currently optimized for iPhone and will soon be optimized for BlackBerry devices as well.
Focusing initial mobile efforts on BigTent's forums feature reflects both site usage patterns and smartphone adoption among BigTent group members. 99% of BigTent groups have one or more forums, and they send millions of messages per week. Fifty-three percent of surveyed BigTent members report having a smartphone, compared to a 2009 national average of 17%.
"BigTent group members are busy people - so saving time is key. BigTent mobile gives them access to the information they need, when and how they need it.
