ORLANDO, Fla — Rex Riepe, CEO of IvyLees and co-creator of Presskit'n, firmly believes that non-profits are the best innovators in social media.
"Non-profits have to adapt faster to using social media tools," said Riepe. "They usually have a very strong social message and a dedicated base of followers. Since they're normally on a tight budget, they've been the first to adopt social media methods for getting their message out."
Following this belief, Presskit'n announced a special offer to non-profits: Three newsroom upgrades for three months, for free.
"All we ask in exchange is that the non-profits involved in this program give us feedback on our developing features. We know they're the ones pushing the features to the limits, so we want to hear from them," said Riepe.
Non-profits interested in the offer can e-mail info@ivylees.com to request an upgrade.
Some of the new features to be tested include the recent additions of a feedback tab powered by GetSatisfaction, a Writing Tips toolbox on the news release builder, and tweet integration with social media newsrooms. Tweet integration allows a newsroom to show the latest tweets from a Twitter account. Upgraded accounts will also be able to test a new, still-unannounced feature that involves Twitter.
Presskit'n continues to offer free social media newsrooms to all organizations. The internal beta-testing program is not specific to non-profits and anyone can apply by e-mailing info@ivylees.com.
